Maildistiller RMM facilitates auto discovery of the resources on the Server and monitoring of the individual SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Webmail and IIS infrastructure which make up the Exchange environment. This means you can manage and monitor the consumption of mailbox storage, alongside the performance of Microsoft Exchange’s web services interface which is used by both Outlook as well as OWA web based clients.
Maildistiller provides complete access to hardware and operating system level monitoring for all versions of Windows, from Microsoft Windows 2000 to the latest Advanced Server offerings. Each Windows machine is first inventoried with discreet detection of every CPU, File system, and Network Interface configured on the host. The Agent can then measure the CPU activity of each individual CPU, complete memory utilization, local and remote file system statistics, as well as network activity on each interface.
Maildistiller compliments its monitoring capabilities for Exchange with the ability to track and record any Exchange related events found in the Windows server event log. This feature allows an Exchange administrator to easily view and correlate any Exchange event log message with any of the many metrics collected by Maildistiller, recording any one of the many events which can help prevent a minor problem from becoming a major outage.
