The “cloud” refers to a network of servers designed to store your information so that you can access it at any time, on any device. It is built to remove issues with storage space and ideally increase the speed of computing in general. The tech world has been completely buzzing about the cloud of late as if it’s something new, yet the truth is that people have had their heads and technologies in the cloud for years now and what’s actually happening is that it’s only just beginning to resonate as a standard. Salesforce, Zuora and Maildistiller are three prime examples of wholly SaaS companies that have concentrated their efforts in the cloud with resounding success.
